Acting
Takla has made her endearing way to us through our favorite drama series and motion pictures across the whole Arab region. With her relevant journey in teaching, stellar record of honorary awards, and a bright, successful career both as an actress and as casting director, Takla holds an exciting learning experience for the future of her students.
Tony’s degrees are very much worth mentioning. He earned his Master's Degree in Educational Technology from the University of Montreal. Next, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with TV emphasis from UQAM University, and another Bachelor's Degree in Film Production from Concordia University. Tony taught at different universities. He recently wrote and directed his first feature film, Morine (2018).
Michel Hourani is a fully rounded artist. He is an actor, and he starred in Falafel (2006) as Nino. He’s more than meets the eye, because aside from being a theater director, he is also a producer and a presenter. A fully- rounded artist indeed! Over the course of his career, Michel has also taken part in several dramas.
Rolla is a TV, film and digital content expert. With her 24 years of significant experience in sales, acquisition, content distribution, and programming, she is very much the epitome of a modern, empowered woman. Throughout the course of her career, Rolla has accumulated a very extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in the media and broadcast field in the MENA region.
Fares is the CEO of Roya Media group. Prior to holding this position, he was the GM of WTV, which was acquired by Sayegh Group in 2009 and re-launched on January 1st, 2011, as Roya TV. Between 2005 and 2011, the young entrepreneur held several executive roles in the industrial sector. And before entering the workforce, Sayegh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in System Industrial Engineering from Ohio State University (2004).
Singing
The charismatic artist Léa Makhoul outshone others with her performances in the Arab world, most of which took place in the UAE. She impressed big time with her jaw-dropping opening act for Jennifer Lopez’s Dubai concert in 2017, her performance at Arab Fashion Week in Dubai, and her opening for Camila Cabello and Jax Jones’ concert, Redfest DXB 2019.
Saeed Saeed is an arts and culture writer. Currently, he is a writer for The National, touching base and circulating on the culture and arts scene in the UAE and abroad. Based on his writings, Saeed’s focus is definitely on music and Arabic pop culture. He has interviewed notable singers during his time as a reporter.
Albert M. Carter is a dedicated, creative, passionate and award-winning music entrepreneur who is prominently taking the Middle East and US by storm with his talents. In the future, our singing judge’s aim is to transform the cultural landscape of the music industry with innovative approaches to offer solutions to common, everyday struggles in life.
Mazzi Behi is a New Yorker rapper and is a legend in the world of hip-hop. At present, he is the leader of S.O.U.L. (Sense Of Understanding Life) Music collective. Years after establishing his career, he finds himself working with various hip-hop artists from all over the world creating albums whose profits go to charity.
Comedy
An Egyptian-American actor and comedian, Ahmed is a regular performer at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. He tours all across the US and Europe. He won his first annual Richard Pryor Award for ethnic comedy at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland in the summer of 2004. Ahmed was a member of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour.
Ali Al Sayed is a comedian based in Dubai who started writing, performing and producing comedy in 2008. Being named as “one of the most influential comedians in the world” by Toastmasters International Magazine is a great honor. His lightning-fast wit and rapport with audiences has given him the opportunity to take part in numerous shows - both globally and locally.
Dany graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the American University of Beirut. He continued his studies in medicine for 2 years at the University of Balamand. He has over 8 years of experience in startup entrepreneurship and digital marketing. Dany co-found “Awkword,” the first underground standup comedy platform in Lebanon which he happens to currently manage.

Dubomedy Arts School has been training thousands of students, both internationally and locally, since 2008. Stand-up comedy classes are conducted by professional comedians Mina Liccione and Ali Al Sayed, who have more than 20 years of industry experience in the Middle East and abroad. Mina is also a Performing Arts Professor (USA and UAE) and Ali is also a coach for Comedy Central Arabia.

You will discover how to find inspiration for comedy material, learn to understand how to structure jokes, and know the importance of building a solid 5-minute set. You will learn to work on timing, delivery, and your performance skills. Get to familiarise yourself with holding a microphone and learn how to memorise material. On top of these, learn techniques that will help you react and interact with an audience, and perform in front of a live audience.
